Want to help your community through technology? The civic hacking group Code for Philly is meeting tomorrow — and welcoming newcomers

Special thanks to Linode for hosting us this week!

About the event:
Want to get involved in Code for Philly? Don’t know where to start? Join us for Code for Philly 101! Code for Philly welcomes civic hackers of all kinds – developers, designers, community partners, project managers/owners and anyone else who wants to dedicate their time to helping the local community through tech. You don’t have to be an expert or seasoned technologist to participate! If you’re interested in getting involved in any way, this event is for you!

In this brief (okay, hour and a half) session, we’ll go over the basics of Code for Philly, civic hacking, and how to get involved in the community and in projects. Make sure to bring your computer because we’re going to give you all the tools to get you started. You’ll also have a chance to meet others in the community!

Please be aware:
– This event will start promptly at 6:30pm – if you’re running late, just come on in and grab a seat!
– Given limited seating, if you’ve already attended a 101 session, we kindly ask you let other new community members attend. Remember, you can always reach out to the CfP leadership team with questions or ways to get involved.

Are you interested in sponsoring a Code for Philly 101? We’re actively looking for organizations to provide space for our events! Email us at [masked].
